For the Record with Jody Denberg

Overview

JODY DENBERG is a thirty year veteran of the Austin airwaves who is featured in a permanent exhibit on rock deejays in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has produced more than fifty CDs, including a series of interviews with music's biggest names. On his new radio program For the Record, Jody Denberg spends quality time with Paul McCartney as he explains where he does his writing. He will step inside a Big Apple recording studio with Patti Smith. R.E.M. will reveal the magic behind their greatest songs. No Cowboy boots will be needed to get on the bus with Willie Nelson. We will gain entry into the Dakota building to chat with Yoko Ono and visit New York's Museum of Television and Radio to hang with Tom Petty. For the Record is global and visits with Ireland's Solas, Sierra Leone's Refugee All-stars and England's Robyn Hitchcock. And For the Record also brings you conversations with newer artists like Rachael Yamagata, The Civil Wars, Andrew Bird, The Tedeschi Trucks Band and Brandi Carlisle. Jody also shares chats he's had with late greats including Rick Danko of the Band and his pal Doug Sahm, Warren Zevon, Townes Van Zandt and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
